Hospital for Tropical Diseases phone numbers changed 

From 21 August all phone numbers at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases have changed. This is part of a project to change all telephone numbers across UCLH.

• From 21 August 2011 the new Hospital for Tropical Diseases switchboard number is 020 3456 7891 (replacing 020 7387 9300)
• All existing four digit extensions at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases will change to five digits, by the addition of a 7 before the current extension.
• The external prefix to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases extension numbers will change to 020 344 followed by the new extension number.
• All Trust telephone numbers are changing between April and September 2011.

There are two main reasons for the change:

• To remove duplicate numbers, simplifying our full telephone numbers for people calling us from outside the Trust.
• To deal with the shortage of numbers and to give us capacity for new technology.

Example of new numbers

Current extension 3000 will become ext 73000 and direct dial will become 020 3447 3000.

Please note

There will be no change to the University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust main switchboard number 0845 155 5000. There is a new alternative switchboard number 020 3456 7890. Callers are asked to please check their telephone provider charges before deciding which number will be cheaper to use because individual packages will vary. New telephone numbers will be on patient letters and our external website. You may hear a message about the change if you call an old number after this date.
