Professional background

Dr Elaine Agius is a Consultant Dermatologist at UCLH. She trained in Dermatology at St John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's and St Thomas's Hospital and was awarded a PhD in Immunology of the skin from University College London in 2009.
She has a special interest in the management of severe eczema in adults and has set up a dedicated eczema clinic.  In addition she has developed and is the Lead Clinician for the skin cancer screening service at UCLH.  She also sees patients with psoriasis, acne, rosacea and various other general dermatology and paediatric patients.

Research interests

Dr Elaine Agius was the recipient of national and international awards for her research into the immunology of skin ageing and maintains an active research interest in the following areas:
