Professional background

Currently Medical Director for Surgery and Cancer board, covering critical care, anaesthesia, theatres, sterile services and medical physics in the Division. I was previously the clinical director for critical care. I am also Reader in Intensive Care Medicine at UCL and theme lead for the critical care and anaesthesia research theme for the Comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre. I am a chest physician who works clinically only in critical care.

Research interests

My special interests are in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and in sepsis and inflammation.
