Professional background

Trained at Manchester University, graduating 1991. Worked in Manchester for 1½ years before going to Australia for 2 years. Worked in Emergency Medicine for 2 of the first 3 years after qualifying. On returning back to the UK worked in Blackburn, North Manchester for 1 year where I commenced my Anaesthetic Training. Then continued my Anaesthetic Training in Tayside, Scotland for over 2½ years. Came to London at the end of 1999 where I joined the North West Thames / Imperial Anaesthetic Registrar Rotation. Worked in Ealing for 1 year, back to Australia (Fremantle, Perth) for a year, then at Charing Cross, Queen Charlotte’s, Chelsea & Westminster and The Marsden, before finishing as an Airway Fellow at UCH / Middlesex and The Royal National Nose,Throat & Ear Hospital. Appointed as a Consultant at UCH in 2003.
