Professional background

I qualified from UCH in 1991. After medical posts I pursued a career in psychiatry.

I have worked at UCLH for two days a week as a consultant in liaison child and adolescent psychiatry since 2000. I am particularly interested in the interface between physical illness and its psychological sequelae.

I am also clinical lead and consultant psychiatrist at Simmons House Adolescent Psychiatric Unit in North London (www.simmonshouse.org)

Research interests

I am interested in the role of fathers in the care of infants and children.
