Professional background

Adele is originally from the North-East of England. Adele completed her undergraduate training at the University of Birmingham. She then worked in a dental practice in Stokesley, North Yorkshire before returning to Birmingham, and then London for hospital jobs.

Adele completed her Registrar training at UCLH, Great Ormond Street Hospital and spent six months at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

Adele became a Consultant here at UCLH in 2008. In November 2014, Adele was nominated for a UCLH Trust Celebrating Excellence Award in the ‘Kindness’ category. Adele was then a finalist in the ‘Safety’ category for the same awards in January of 2016.

Adele is Safeguarding Children Lead for the Paediatric department and Eastman Dental Hospital/Institute as a whole. Adele also sits on the UCLH Named Professional Committee for safeguarding children.

Adele is a local and national examiner.

Adele is heavily involved with the departmental post graduate courses and teaching. Adele is both a named Education and Clinical Supervisor. Adele supervises research and audit projects. Adele has a strong governance role in the department and is a member of the Health and Safety Committee at EDH.
