Sarah Creighton is a consultant gynaecologist and honorary clinical professor at University College Hospital. She is also the consultant adolescent gynaecologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital London. She specialises in adolescent gynaecology and complex congenital genital anomalies and is a member of the multidisciplinary service for Disorders of Sex Development. She established the African Women’s Clinic at UCH for women with health issues related to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and was Co-Chair of the Harmful Traditional Practices subgroup for the 2010 Department of Health Task Force on Violence Against Women and Children. She has published widely on the long term outcomes of genital surgery on women. She is a member of the RCOG Ethics committee. She is Vice-Chair of the Clinical Reference Group for Complex Gynaecology for NHS England.
