Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine
The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) is the largest public-sector provider of integrated medicine in Europe. The RLHIM offers an innovative, patient-centred service integrating the best of conventional and complementary treatments for a wide range of conditions. All clinics are led by consultants, doctors and other registered healthcare professionals who have received additional training in complementary medicine.

The RLHIM operates on an outpatient clinic basis.

Working closely with the other hospitals at UCLH, it has access to modern conventional techniques as well as inpatient services when required. Clinical services include Acupuncture service, allergy service, children’s service, chronic fatigue service, Fibromyalgia syndrome service, general medicine service, insomnia and sleep medicine, integrated cancer care, integrated medicine, irritable bowel syndrome service, musculoskeletal medicine and stress management, nutrition and dietetics service, podiatry service, psychological therapy services, rheumatology service, skin clinic, women’s service.

The hospital provides an integrated pharmacy service where patients and public can obtain specialist advice from fully trained pharmacists. Other patient and staff services include a retail pharmacy outlet and a specialist complementary and alternative medicine library. Within the hospital there is also an education unit which runs courses on integrated medicine for health care professionals.

    Please note: You can travel on buses and trams using an Oyster or contactless payment card with pay as you go credit, or you can add a Travelcard or Bus & Tram pass to your Oyster card. You are no longer able to use cash to pay for your bus fare.

    Russell Square (Piccadilly Line) and Holborn (Central and Piccadilly Lines) are both within walking distance.

  • Reclaiming transport fares

    If you are in receipt of benefits you may be entitled to reclaim transport fares when visiting the hospital for an inpatient or outpatient appointment. Please ask the clinic staff for an attendance form and take this to the appropriate hospital's Cashiers Office. Reimbursement can be made at the time of your visit if you can produce your benefit book.

    It is recommended that you book help 24 hours before you travel. This enables staff to give you as much information as possible before your travel; make alternative arrangements for you if the station is not step free or not staffed at the time you wish to travel; and ensure that there are enough staff for all the assistance requests at a station.
