The MSK multidisciplinary team include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, orthotists, podiatrists, therapy assistants and nursing staff, supported by an administrative team.

The service is available to patients who are under the management of a relevant UCLH Consultant

Referrals are not accepted from General Practitioners as this service is provided by local community providers.

Referral forms are delivered either in person to the UCH Therapies & Rehabilitation department or by post, email or fax – details below.
The UCLH Contact Centre processes all referrals to arrange suitable appointments for patients.

Patients attend on a one to one basis for initial assessment and a rehabilitation programme is agreed and commenced.  Rehabilitation may include individual treatment, class based exercise, hydrotherapy and independent exercise.

Class-based rehabilitation

A number of rehabilitation classes are run on and offsite which provide a variety of rehabilitation programmes for a range of conditions and abilities. All classes are run by qualified therapists.

Hydrotherapy involves exercises, specifically prescribed for the patient, carried out in a heated pool.
