Pain management education, events and research 

Our research and education committee is multidisciplinary and organises an educational programme for pain specialists and also national courses.

We hold a regular journal club.and monthly educational meeting for all UCLH and north central London pain specialists. Recent topics have included , Lidocaine infusions – The Evidence, The role of Chiropractic and Audit of sacral nerve stimulators.

Dec 18th 2014 – National Multidisciplinary Pelvic Pain study day


Pain Management department at UCLH is committed to teaching and offering learning experiences to individuals who are not employed by the Pain Management department.
The observers are offered an opportunity to visit the department to gain knowledge and expertise in managing patients with chronic pain and/ the functioning of the department.
Prior approval from the education and research committee must be obtained by the observers to visit the department.

Anyone who would like to make a donation to the PMRC’s educational and research work can do so by donating to UCLHCharity 0465. Please ask us for details of how to do this. 

The fund is administered by the educational and research committee and small awards are made to members of the department to support educational and/or research work. Each application is assessed for merit in terms of development of the individual, department and most importantly to further our understanding of pain and treatment for our patients.
