What outpatient services does the comprehensive stroke service offer?

  • Dr Rob Simister – Thur am NHNN – General Stroke Assessment and Treatment
  • Dr Richard Perry – Thur pm NHNN – “One Stop TIA clinic” – a weekly one stop day with all relevant investigations available (access to this clinic is through the HASU registrar on 07753 739 286.
  • Dr David Werring – Mon am UCLH – General Stroke Assessment and Treatment
  • Dr Nick Ward / Nicola Harding (Clinical Nurse Specialist) – Thur PM NHNN – FU stroke clinic and assessment of longer term problems associated with stroke (e.g. disability)
  • Dr Nick Losseff – Wed am NHNN – Specialist Neurovascular  Clinic for Arteriovenous Malformations, Cavernomas and Haematologic problems (Antiphospholipid syndrome)
  • Prof Martin Brown – Specialist Multidisciplnary Clinic for assessment of Moya Moya syndrome and other complex arteriopathies. Prof Brown also supervises a Stroke Research Clinic which provides follow-up of patients recruited to research studies.
