The Integrated Antenatal Service (IAS) at UCLH is an innovative and evidence based service that offers all women a fully comprehensive package of antenatal screening and care. The IAS comprises the Antenatal Clinic, Ultrasound Screening Unit, Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit and Fetal Medicine Unit. The service was developed by a multidisciplinary team and successfully launched in November 2008 in response to government initiatives and Healthcare Commission (now Care Quality Commission) recommendations for antenatal care.
Antenatal care and screening is essential part of maternity care for all women. We provide a comprehensive antenatal care which includes a state-of-the-art ultrasound screening programme to ensure the best possible outcome for you and your baby.
Approximately 6,000 women per year are seen within the Integrated Antenatal Service. Many women choose to access our services whilst working in central London and return to their local hospital to give birth.
