Labour and delivery care  

Our Labour and Delivery Care Unit is available for women who may require additional care and monitoring in labour from our multi-disciplinary team of doctors and midwives. It features 13 rooms 12 birthing rooms (one with a birthing pool) and a 4 bedded close observation bay for women who require closer monitoring in the antenatal and postnatal period. All methods of pain relief are offered including acupuncture.  Our aim is to promote normality, providing all women with a positive birth experience.

Over 5000 babies a year are born on our labour and delivery care unit.
