Our Labour and Delivery Care Unit is available for women who may require additional care in labour from our multi-disciplinary team of doctors and midwives. It features 12 birth rooms and a 4 bedded close observation bay for women who require closer monitoring in the antenatal and postnatal period. All methods of pain relief are offered including a 24-hour epidural service. In Spring 2011, we will be adding a birth pool for women who wish to use water to help them cope with labour.
Over 4000 babies a year are born on our labour and delivery care unit.
