Private health care at UCLH

When you choose to have private care at UCLH you’ll be choosing the best of the NHS with all the benefits you would expect from a private hospital.

We are part of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a hospital group which is internationally renowned for high quality patient care, education and research.

Based across eight specialist sites in and around Bloomsbury, Central London, we offer a wide range of private services including neurology and neurosurgery, fertility, maternity, teenage cancers and ear nose and throat treatment.

Our patients have swift access to back-up support including intensive care or high dependency units if needed, making us one of the safest environments for private care.

As well as offering safe treatment in top UK hospitals, we also provide all the additional benefits that come with private care, including modern en suite private rooms, access to a preferred consultant and appointment times that suit you.

Any profits from our hospital run private services are also reinvested back in our wider organisation, which helps to deliver and improve care for all our patients, whether private or NHS.

PLEASE NOTE: We are significantly reducing the amount of private work we undertake at UCLH while we give as much support as possible to patients with COVID-19 (coronavirus).
