  • About EHRS

A single electronic health record system (EHRS) means that our doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals have access to all relevant patient information at UCLH in one place.

It provides staff with all the information they need, electronically, in a single patient record, to help further improve patient safety, patient and staff experience, and research.

Over time, EHRS will also improve how we work with other providers of healthcare, for example, other hospitals and GPs.

Our system includes a portal for patients and their families, called MyCare UCLH. Patients who sign up for the patient portal will be able to access their information safely and securely so that they can manage and improve their condition and communicate with the people looking after them at UCLH.

EHRS will also strengthen our clinical research capability, making it easier for clinicians to identify patients who are eligible and interested in taking part in research studies.
