Advice and Guidance services

11/03/2019 00:00

UCLH launch its first Advice and Guidance services via eReferrals in January 2018.

These services give GPs the opportunity to ask our clinical teams for advice on managing patients within primary care.

The first services consisted of six specialties: Rheumatology, Cardiology, ENT, Gynaecology, Diabetes and Endocrinology.

The service has been so successful that it has been expanded to 17 specialties: Haematology, Urology, Respiratory, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Obstetrics/Maternity, Neurology, General Medicine/Complementary Services, Infection and Allergy.

We have gone from eight queries in January 2018 to 123 this year and we have managed to respond to 80 per cent of queries within two working days.

To access this service, please search for advice request under the relevant specialty on e-Referrals.
