Camden COPD services redesign

28/09/2015 00:00

UCLH is working on a project, funded by Camden CCG, to evaluate and re-design COPD services throughout Camden.

Throughout this six-month project, UCLH is working in collaboration with the CCG, The Royal Free, CNWL, other Primary Care stakeholders and The British Lung Foundation to review and evaluate all aspects of COPD services in the region.

Camden CCG are keen to ensure people in Camden with COPD live longer and enjoy a better quality of life. As a result, they have commissioned UCLH to identify clinical care improvement options that enhance the integration of COPD care for patients in Camden.

The project will map existing services and pathways and analyse both existing and newly collected data covering all stages of COPD, from early detection and prevention, through to diagnosis, treatment, and end of life. Camden CCG and other local Primary and Secondary Care stakeholders will be supporting the UCLH led-team to develop a proposal that sets out fully developed clinical options for improving the integration of COPD services in Camden for the CCG to consider.

Meanwhile, a focus group for Camden COPD patients is being held at the South Camden Centre for Health 146-162 Drummond Street, London NW1 2PL on Monday 5th October between 12.30pm – 3.30pm. A flyer for your practice can be downloaded here.
