Facebook live: Ask an expert about bowel cancer

19/04/2017 00:00
Consultant Dr Ed Seward will be hosting a Facebook Live chat on 24/4 on bowel cancer.

This Bowel Cancer Awareness month, we are hosting a Facebook Live chat with consultant gastroenterologist Dr Ed Seward.  Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK. Nearly all bowel cancers arise when there is an abnormal growth of cells in the large bowel (colon and rectum). Most begin as non-cancerous polyps that can be easily removed if caught early enough.  Dr Seward works at University College Hospital and is involved in several projects to diagnose cancer earlier.  If you’ve any questions about signs, symptoms or treatment of bowel cancer, join the conversation on the UCLH Facebook page and put your question to Dr Seward.

Questions can be forwarded in advance to webmaster@uclh.nhs.uk.
