British Medical Association action on 21 June 2012

19/06/2012 00:00

A British Medical Association (BMA) day of action is taking place on 21 June in response to the Government’s public sector pension reforms.

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is putting plans in place to try to minimise the impact of this action on our services.

Our priority on 21 June will be to maintain emergency services, active and current cancer treatment and specific work that has been identified and agreed as clinically urgent. This means that those doctors participating in the industrial action will be attending their place of work.

Any patients who will be affected by reductions in service will be contacted by letter and by telephone or text message. Anyone with an appointment scheduled for the 21 June should attend as planned unless they have been notified of a change.

We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause and will ensure all postponements are rebooked as soon as possible.
