Get flu safe…get the jab!

21/10/2014 00:00
Get the flu jab early to make sure you, your family and patients are protected all winter from this highly contagious disease. The jab is quick and safe.
CCG flu campaign

A poster campaign launched this week (20 October 2014) by the Camden Clinical Commissioning Group highlights those people who are most at risk of developing serious complications if they catch flu. It can be a really serious illness for some people, with the worst cases resulting in hospitalisation.

You are advised to book a FREE flu jab at your GP, particularly if you are among those most at risk.

Are you:

- Aged over 65?
- or pregnant?

Or do you:

- Have a long term medical condition such as diabetes, lung, heart, kidney or liver disease?
- Work with patients?
- Have children aged 2-4 years old?
- Have asthma?
- or a weakened immune system?

If so, contact your GP today to book flu jabs for you and your family.

If you are not already registered with a GP, you can find your local GP surgery by downloading the Choose Well North London App on iTunes/Google Play.

The flu vaccine changes every year to fight the latest strains of flu, so even if you had a jab last winter you need another one this year. Spread the word this winter, not the flu!
