Get involved in research

21/03/2012 00:00

Our biomedical research centre (BRC) is running a workshop on 28 March for patients, carers and members of the public who are interested in getting actively involved in research.

Get involved in research

There are many ways people can take an active part in research, from helping design studies, to taking part in focus groups or helping with recruitment. This free workshop, which is carried out by a lay person, aims to demonstrate all the different ways people can get involved and the powerful effect this can have on research.

The workshop is part of a joint project between the UCLH/UCL National Institute for Health Research BRC, the BRCs at Moorfields and Great Ormond Street, and MacMillan Cancer. Please note the workshop is not for people wanting to volunteer in a trial.

The workshop is from 10:00am until 4:30pm in UCL, 1-19 Torrington Place, London WC1E 7HB. If you would like to come, you will need to register by going to or by contacting the Patient and Public Involvement in Research Manager Rosamund Yu on ( or 020 7679 6166.
