Help Us Help You film puts UCLH in the spotlight

26/11/2018 00:00
UCLH staff and patients feature in a film made by NHS England to support the winter pressures campaign, Help Us Help You.

A film crew spent a full day at University College Hospital and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson wing making stars out of our some of our great staff members and willing patients.

The film shows the public what happens across the NHS in a three minute period and how actions they take can give NHS staff more time to look after patients who need the most care.

We are very grateful for the time spared by James Brewer (specialty registrar), Jonette Mills (paediatric nurse) and Faiyaz Karim (A&E receptionist) for taking part, and for the cooperation and support of their managers and colleagues to enable the filming to happen.

Being filmed in hospital is not normally what patients expect when they come in so we are thankful to Christina, and her new baby Hector, and to Khalid (supported by his mum) for agreeing to be involved.

The film shows Camden healthcare professionals at their best as the GP featured is also from a local practice. NHS England is using the film to support national broadcast and online promotion of the Help Us Help You campaign.
