Seeking six local people to help review options

North London Partners in health and care is recruiting resident representatives to help review options for the future of planned bone and joint surgery (known as adult elective orthopaedic care).

Over the past year, North London Partners in Health and Care (a partnership of 28 health and social care organisations in North London, including UCLH) have been talking to residents about how planned joint and bone surgery, for adults, (such as hip and knee replacements) could be improved. They have worked with doctors, nurses and other hospital staff involved in this kind of care to set out the detail of how it should work.

Over the summer, local hospitals will work together to describe how they could deliver the kind of service that we would like to have in north London. This will result in the hospitals providing a number of options for review.

North London Partners in Health and Care are recruiting six local people to be part of the process to review the options, alongside clinicians and others involved in planning healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping an important health service that makes a difference to thousands of people each year. Full training will be given to anyone taking part.

If you would like to be involved please email, stating your name and contact information (phone number and email). If you don’t have access to a computer you can get in touch by telephone on this number: 07825 949148. You can find more information here.
