How did we do? New ways of letting us know

07/08/2017 00:00
Your views on your care at UCLH are important to us. To help us gather as much information as possible and improve patient experience, we have introduced new ways of asking for feedback.

This means you may receive a text or a voice message after your appointment asking you how we did.

What does the new way of collecting feedback mean for me?

For outpatients and day case appointments we have started collecting feedback by text message or instant voice message (a phone call that prompts you to answer questions using your landline keypad).

You will receive this message after your appointment/visit and will not be charged for receiving or replying to the messages - despite any warnings that may appear on your phone.

You can opt out at any time in one of the following ways:

  • You can wait to be contacted and opt out at that point by replying ‘STOP’ if contacted by text or by pressing the # key when prompted if contacted by voice message.
  • You can have your phone number(s) excluded by speaking to a member of the reception team, who will take your phone number(s) to be passed on to the Patient Experience team to remove.
  • If you do not wish to give your phone number out and do not want your data shared with our third party supplier for the purpose of conducting the survey, please email the Patient Experience team.

Further information about what your information is used for can be found in our How we use your information: what you need to know booklet and on our Tell us about your experience page.
