National industrial action on 30 November

25/11/2011 00:00

A national trade union day of action is taking place on 30 November in response to the Government’s public sector pension reforms.

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) has been putting plans in place to try to minimise the impact of this action on our services.

Our priority on 30 November will be to maintain emergency services, active and current cancer treatment and specific work that has been identified and agreed as clinically urgent.  Routine outpatient appointments and non-urgent elective surgery will unfortunately have to be rescheduled so that we can focus on maintaining priority services.  The safety of our patients is our top priority.

All patients who are affected by reductions in service have been contacted by letter and by telephone or text message.

We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause and will ensure all cancellations are rebooked as soon as possible.
