For the first time UCLH’s staff awards will be celebrating the contribution made by researchers  - and you can nominate!

Nominate researchers for UCLH awards

This year’s staff awards include a ‘Contribution to World Class Research’ staff category. The award will acknowledge a UCLH individual or team who have shown remarkable achievements in delivering world-class research at UCLH and in meeting objectives set out by both the Trust and the National Institute for Health Research.

Anyone – patients, carers, other researchers and staff – can vote using this form. Deadline for nominations is 31 October 2012 and the winner will be announced at a presentation event in February next year.

Our awards programme is launching this year to help recognise some of the work that goes on from staff across the UCLH sites each day. This award strives to recognise and appreciate staff who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and involvement, to develop high class experimental medicine and deliver research with direct patient benefit.

You can nominate someone on the basis of a body or portfolio of research, a single project, or support for the research infrastructure. At least three of the following achievements should be demonstrated:

  • significant contribution to the development of new treatments, interventions or processes
  • excellence in the delivery and recruitment of patients to research studies
  • contribution to the involvement and support of research participants and patient groups and/or the public.

Remember to put your nomination in by Wednesday 31 October.
