UCLH staff who cared for the victims of the London Bridge terror attack appeared on the national news this week.

In a heart-warming interview on BBC News at Ten, Donna Adcock and Saskia Stephenson, two of our senior nurses, praised their “amazing” colleagues.

Donna said: “The teamwork was evident and was really inspirational.”

Saskia added: “Everyone did such a fantastic job. I am proud to work with them.”

The nurse in charge of our Emergency Department on Saturday night told how she put her emotions to one side to treat the injured.

Speaking to Channel 4 News, Tania Leal said: “We know that we have to care for the people coming in and it has to happen there and then and we are there to save their lives.”

Consultant surgeon Richard Cohen was among the many staff who dropped what they were doing and rushed into work.

Richard, who co-ordinated and oversaw theatres on the night, said told Sky News that there was an "overwhelming urge to help the public and the hospital... clearly a wonderful job”.
