UCLH will continue to benefit from the ‘wisdom and experience’ of Professor Sir John Tooke after he was reappointed as a non-executive director.

Sir John, vice provost (health) at UCL and head of the UCL School of Life & Medical Sciences and the UCL Medical School, was appointed to the UCLH board in February 2010.

Richard Murley, UCLH chairman, said: “I am very pleased that the governors have re-confirmed John Tooke as a non-executive director. We are very lucky to be able to benefit from his wisdom and experience – he has been very helpful in reinforcing our crucially important ties with UCL.”

Sir John added: “I am delighted to have been reappointed to the Board of such an exceptional Trust and look forward to continuing to work with colleagues to further the organisation's aims.”
