It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

02/12/2016 00:00
Carols, gospel music, mince pies, gifts and cards, balloon modellers and a fun photo booth – UCLH's Xmas countdown has begun. Join us if you can on Tuesday (6th).

Daytime TV star Lorraine Kelly will switch on our Christmas tree lights.

Lorraine, who first hit our screens more than 30 years ago, has her own show every weekday morning on ITV.  She is also a newspaper columnist and agony aunt.

We will also have gospel music, mince pies, gifts and cards, balloon modellers and a fun photo booth. Why not join us in University College Hospital between 3 and 5pm?

It’s an opportunity to enjoy live entertainment from our UCLH Singers, the Camden United Gospel Choir and the Salvation Army brass band. And, of course, there will be the lighting of our Christmas tree. You’ll also be helping to support the work of our charities to raise awareness and funds for UCLH.

This year all the stands will be based in the atrium at University College Hospital. Unlike previous open events at UCLH, there will no clinical display stands or hospital tours but we promise plenty of festive cheer.

Timetable: (subject to change):

From 2.45: The photo booth will be open. There is no charge although people will be invited to make a donation to one of the charities. Props will be provided and there is space for around five people in the booth! No bookings –it’s on a first-come-first served basis.

3pm: Event officially opens

Around 3pm: Please come and support the UCLH choir and help them raise the rafters

From 3.45: Camden United Gospel Choir

4.20 Onwards: Salvation Army band

Between 4.45 to around 5pm: Chairman Richard Murley and Lorraine will switch on our Christmas tree lights. 10..9..8..7..6

Event ends.

Many thanks to Health Management (UCLH) plc for supporting the event plus thanks to Interserve for providing refreshments.
