UCLH nominated for FIVE awards

UCLH has been nominated for an outstanding five awards in the HSJ Value Awards.

The nominations are for our:

  • Ambulatory care for complex cancer treatment and stem cell transplantation in the Acute Service Redesign Award category
  • The Lighthouse centre for children and young people who experience sexual abuse in the Community Health Service Redesign Award category
  • Find & Treat: healthcare for homeless and vulnerable people in the Community Health Service Redesign Award category
  • NeuroSAFE: preserving sexual potency in men undergoing prostatectomy for cancer for the Surgical Services Initiative of the Year award
  • Intra-uterine foetal surgery for spina bifida for the Specialist Service Award

The awards are highly competitive and so to be nominated is a fantastic achievement.

Marcel Levi, chief executive of UCLH, said: “I am thrilled that UCLH has been nominated in five categories. That is a fantastic achievement and one which proves how innovative and forward-thinking our staff are.

“Good luck to everyone – I am sure you will do us proud.”

Representatives from each team will now be invited to present their entry to the judging panel and explain the reasons why it should win.

The live judging day will take place on April 5 and the finalists will be announced on Thursday 23 May at Manchester Central.
