UCLH summer school returns to inspire future clinicians

06/04/2016 00:00
UCLH is set to hold its fifth annual summer school, aimed at 16-17 year-olds wishing to pursue a career in healthcare.

The week-long school will feature a series of lectures and clinical workshops hosted by UCLH’s education facility. These sessions will be accompanied by two days of work experience in a clinical area.

The programme is designed to give students a real-life insight into life as a clinician.

Julie Combes, associate director of clinical education, said: “Real-life experience is an invaluable help to students who are considering working in healthcare. Many of our alumni have gone on to study and work in our industry.”

The summer school takes place from 11-15 July and costs £450. The fee covers accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner. To apply, visit http://www.ucheducationcentre.org/summerschool/.

Applications close on 24 April 2016.
