UCLH is supporting Alcohol Concern's Dry January campaign which aims to encourage people to stop drinking for one month from the 1 January.

The campaign raises awareness of alcohol intake and is supported by Public Health England.

Dry January 2015 encourages people to 'take a holiday from booze' and promotes the benefits for their wallet, waistline and general health.

More than 17,000 people took part in Dry January in 2014 and many reported that it acted as a reset button for months afterwards, not only helping people to drink less per day but laso to drink less frequently.

Lots of support and encouragement is available at www.dryjanary.org.uk where you can also sign up to Dry January 2015.
