03/06/2013 00:00

To mark Huntington’s Disease awareness week on Tuesday 11 June from 12 to 1pm, we have an expert hosting a live web chat.  Consultant nurse Rachel Taylor is a key part of the multi-disciplinary Huntington’s Disease team at the world renowned National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN).

The team sees hundreds of patients each year – from people who are at risk of the condition to those whose lives have been affected by Huntington's Disease for many years.  As well as treating patients, Rachel is involved in the research programme run by Professor Sarah Tabrizi, (www.hdresearch.ucl.ac.uk) and is a member of several national and international research and advisory organisations.  An experienced professional, Rachel has extensive experience of all things Huntington's Disease and will be happy to answer any questions you or your family have about any aspects of the disease.

Joining a web chat is easy – just visit www.uclh.nhs.uk/chathunt at any time between 12 and 1pm on 11 June and type in your question.  You can set an email reminder in the box below so that you don't miss out on the event. There’s no need to register, and you can join in as much of the conversation as you like.  If you would like to put forward a question in advance please feel free to do so – send it to webmaster@uclh.nhs.uk and Rachel Taylor will answer it on the day.
