Professional background

I am currently a consultant neurologist at NHNN specialising in focal cognitive disorders. I was appointed in 2004 having previously been a consultant at Kings College Hospital. I divide my time between Northwick Park Hospital, where I practise general neurology, and NHNN, where I am the clinical lead for the dementia service. My medical training was at UCH and I completed a PhD in cognitive neurology as an MRC Clinical Fellow at the Wellcome Dept of Cognitive Neurology. My research interest is in the functional network underlying semantic processing and alteration in patients using multimodal techniques including functional imaging.

Research interests

I am interested in dementia and other cognitive disorders. I run a weekly cognitive disorders clinic seeing patients with young onset and nonAD dementias in addition to AD. I am also very interested in epilepsy and how cognition changes in epilepsy. I run a busy general neurology practice in addition with outpatients at NWP and inpatients transferred to NHNN.
