Professional background

Dr Indran Davagnanam trained on the Pan-London Neuroradiology rotation, working at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, King's College Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Bart's Health. He was appointed in 2008 as a Consultant Neuroradiologist at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Dr Davagnanam has extensive experience in the interpretation of diagnostic imaging and performing diagnostic procedures for a wide variety or neurological and neurosurgical conditions. His subspecialty interests include cerebrovascular disease and stroke, orbital disease and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH).

He is a committee member, lecturer and examiner on the Advanced Neuroimaging MSc Programme at the Institute of Neurology, UCL.

Research interests

He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the UCL Institute of Neurology and currently leads on research projects with an emphasis on the development and application of quantitative advanced and novel imaging techniques to develop neuro-ophthalmological and neurovascular biomarkers.

He has published over 70 articles in scientific peer-reviewed journals including high impact clinical neurosciences research journals and has been invited to lecture on specialised areas of neuroimaging.
