Term: 01/01/2021 – 31/08/2023
I am proud to have been elected as a public governor of the UCLH Trust, having lived close to the hospital for more than 15 years and having used a range of outpatient and inpatient services. I very much welcome the opportunity to apply my enthusiasm, skills and experience to the work of the Trust.
My work experience includes developing and managing community access programmes in colleges and universities in multi-racial inner-city areas of London and other cities. I am currently a lay examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons.
As a governor, I am interested in encouraging the involvement of under-represented sections of the community in decisions about their health care. I will work with the Council of Governors, patient groups and community organisations to try to ensure that the patient voice is heard in the planning and delivery of services.
