Victoria first joined the NHS nearly seven years ago and since then, she has held a range of operational and strategic roles across primary and secondary care. She is also an alumna of the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (General Management). Currently, Victoria is the Deputy Divisional Manager for Emergency Services; a role that sees her leading on the operational management of the Emergency Department and Acute Medicine, including service improvement and collaborative working with system Partners.

Victoria believes that, following significant uncertainty and change in recent years, now is an opportunity to reflect on the successes and lessons learned to help build UCLH’s future. Engagement with staff and understanding their views are critical to ensuring that everyone is moving towards a shared vision of the future, where they are able to deliver high quality care to all patients.

Victoria ran for Staff Governor as she wants to ensure that staff’s voices are heard and that business decisions are made which fully consider the potential impact on staff. Her first-hand experience of working in admin roles, from Receptionist to Deputy Divisional Manager, enables her to understand the pressures teams are under and has given her knowledge of how services are delivered, as well as how they fit into the wider organisational picture. Victoria values her relationships with clinicians highly and enjoys working in partnership with them. She hopes to utilise her skills and experience to effectively represent staff, add value to Council discussions and ensure that informed decisions are made that benefit both patients and staff.
