UCLH response to the Francis Report

The publication of the Francis Report

The report is an extremely important document for the NHS, containing 290 recommendations.

We convened a sub-group of the UCLH Board to review the recommendations and identify those that are relevant to UCLH.

The UCLH culture is one where staff can learn from each other and where clinicians, especially doctors and nurses, have clear leadership responsibilities. At UCLH quality of care is everyone's responsibility, including the board and the governors who set the organisation’s objectives. Quality that is focused on safety, outcomes and experience is at the top of our objectives.  We are proud of the high standards of care we deliver but continue to learn and embed best practice across all areas of the organisation.

More information about our performance can be found here and in our board papers.
