Emergency preparedness, resilience and response (EPRR) assurance 2017/18

NHS England has undertaken a process at UCLH in order to be assured that the NHS in England is prepared to respond to an emergency, and has resilience in relation to providing safe patient care.

The Chief Nurse is the UCLH EPRR accountable emergency officer.

The assurance process is based on the EPRR core standards and is carried out in two stages:

  1. An audit of our Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) response procedures
  2. Audit of our Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response procedures.

The CBRN assessment was carried out on Monday 18 September and the EPRR Assurance assessment on Monday 9 October.

UCLH is rated as "Green - fully compliant" in both assessments.
