The Whittington runs a Sickle Cell Support Group which was established in 1989. This group provides a vital forum for individuals with sickle cell and thalassaemia, as well as their families and carers, within Camden and Islington.

Led by an elected executive committee, the group offers peer support, sharing coping strategies and organizing educational talks on health and care services.

Monthly meetings at the Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre facilitate social interaction, education, and community engagement.

The group meets once a month on the first Friday of the month at the Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre, from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.
