Our annual Staff & Volunteer Art Exhibition provides an opportunity for those working within the Trust to showcase their outstanding creativity—and is always a highlight in our exhibition schedule!

This year a fantastic variety of mediums were demonstrated in the submissions, from photography to printmaking, painting to digital drawing. We had over 100 pieces of art submitted for the exhibition from a range of staff from every background.

You can vote for your favourite artworks using the QR codes on the artwork labels. The winners with the highest votes will each receive a prize. Many thanks to UCLH Charity who have kindly donated the prizes again this year, and thank you to all our exhibitors for sharing their artwork with us.

This exhibition is managed by UCLH Arts. UCLH Arts is the creative health project that serves UCLH NHS Foundation Trust and its surrounding community and is funded entirely by charitable donations and fundraising. UCLH Arts is committed to providing a welcoming, uplifting environment for all patients, visitors and staff through the use of a varied and stimulating arts and heritage programme. Led by research, our work aims to improve the patient experience, boost staff morale, increase engagement with the arts and celebrate the Trust’s unique heritage and community.

This year the UCLH Arts programme celebrates its 20th anniversary. Since 2005, UCLH has worked to improve patient and staff outcomes through the Arts. It does this in a number of ways, including a changing exhibition and music programme, creative workshops on wards, artist residencies, commissioning site-specific artwork, and a staff culture club.

To celebrate this milestone, between the 29th September —4th October, UCLH Arts hosted our first arts festival across our hospital site. For more information on the full programme and how to get involved, visit the latest news section on our website.

UCLH arts and heritage receives its funding from UCLH Charity and the Friends of UCLH.
