20th February – 14th May
This exhibition examines the shift from winter into spring.
The selected works explore feelings of awakening, coming alive and springing forth into the new year.
From the first daffodils blooming and the first florescence of the year taking hold, to the rain-laden winter finally fading, each artist has captured what it means to feel reinvigorated after a gruelling period, often where the sun ceases to say hello.
As we embrace the warmth and joy spring allows us to experience, this exhibition intends to celebrate the power a little bit more daylight can bring into all our lives.
A fantastic variety of mediums were demonstrated in the submissions, from silk-screen printing to photography, oil painting to straw workings.
Further information about each of the artists can be found below. For more information and purchase enquiries please email us: uclh.uclharts@nhs.net.
