Join us at the UCLH Education Centre on Tuesday 30 September, 3:30pm for our in-person Annual Members Meeting. Our Chair, Julia Neuberger, will open the meeting and will be followed by our chief executive, David Probert who will outline the Trusts achievements and activities over the last year and the challenges we face ahead.
Our focus this year will be on equality, diversity and inclusion at UCLH and we will have two feature presentations. Rheumatologists Dr. Aicha Bouraoui and Professor Debajit Sen will talk about their exciting Pathway to Equity programme aimed at understanding the reasons behind young people missing their hospital appointments. The project aimed to find ways to reduce health inequalities and improve clinic attendance by involving the young people themselves.
We will also hear from Olympia Amoo, senior clinical research nurse and Rhonda Henley-Smith, BioResource manager on the Improving Black Health Outcomes project, a new research programme from the NIH Bioresource in collaboration with Genomics England. The project focuses on improving knowledge and understanding of health conditions unique to Black communities in the UK.
Doors will open at 2:30pm for refreshments and to talk to colleagues from our staff networks, governors, patient involvement and research teams.
Places are limited and we expect this event to be popular, so please ensure you register for a ticket via Eventbrite.
