The UCLH post-COVID service is the lead provider for North Central London (NCL) and works with borough-based services to provide support and assessment for adults with ongoing illness following COVID-19 infection.

Referral are accepted from GP practices or other hospital clinics in North Central London to a single point of access. From here referrals are triaged by the clinic team and this may require a telephone consultation and completion of a questionnaire. Patients will be directed to the most appropriate part of the service to meet their needs efficiently. Some will need to attend an appointment at UCLH in person where they will be assessed by physicians and therapists with expertise in this field from a number of different specialty backgrounds. Onward referrals and investigations are arranged if needed.

We partner closely with post-COVID community services in NCL and hold regular multi- disciplinary team meetings (MDTs) with these partners, including involvement of psychology services. The aim of this pathway will be to develop a management and integrated recovery plan for patients and to support their ongoing recovery as best as possible. Patients will be offered the opportunity to be involved in research if appropriate.
