Ensuring quality
We are committed to ensuring high quality care is delivered. One way we evaluate our services is by auditing various aspects of our structures, processes and outcomes.
Clinical audits are a formal method of collecting data to compare one or more aspects of care with standards or guidelines, e.g. NICE guidance.
This gives us a framework to measure our performance, identify areas for improvement and evaluate changes we introduce to make those improvements.
The audiology team at UCLH has an in-house audit lead, who works with clinicians to plan and implement clinical audits. The paediatric audiology team regularly audits various elements of clinical work.

Healthcare innovation
The paediatric audiology team at UCLH is uniquely able to draw together knowledge and learning from multiple sources.
We work alongside various relevant specialties and have close ties with University College London (UCL), which includes UCL’s Ear Institute. This opens doors for collaborative research, particularly through the evidENT research team, specialising in translational research in ENT and audiology.
