I have been a patient of UCLH since 1980 and I am a big fan of the hospital and staff. Seeing the bravery of so many staff during the pandemic and the stresses that staff are still under motivates me to use some of my time to help and support the work of UCLH as much as possible.

Having said that, I have also had some poor experiences, particularly in the area of communication e.g. trying to get hold of the relevant person to sort out problems, phones ringing endlessly with no answer or voicemail and would like to see issues like these addressed.

For the last 30 years I have worked as a Business Psychologist in many different private and public sector organisations. My work within the NHS has included working with doctors, nurses, managers, boards and individual board members. Wherever I have worked, I have enjoyed helping teams and senior individuals develop and grow and facilitated many difficult situations. I am experienced enough to get a good balance between offering support and asking difficult questions / holding people to account. I would describe myself as straightforward, sensible and pragmatic with the skills and confidence to work with any level within the organisation.
