The reproductive medicine unit offers a comprehensive range of investigations and treatments for couples presenting with fertility problems, recurrent miscarriage and reproductive endocrinology. Our vision is to provide high quality consultant led care in a caring multi-disciplinary environment. We aim to provide a high quality care that places our patients and couples at the centre of their management.  Our approach is to promote a culture of evidence based practice and we support and encourage research and education.  We take pride in our multidisciplinary team approach and see every single member of the team as essential to the team function.

Fertility services and treatments at the reproductive medicine unit remain open as the NHS deals with the current wave of COVID-19. However, the situation is evolving rapidly and we will continue to reassess our position. We want to reassure you that we are doing everything within our means to make sure your treatment can continue smoothly. This rests on several factors including staff redeployment to the front line as well as the safety of our patients and staff.

If your query is about COVID-19 vaccination, you will find the most up to date advice for the UK on the RCOG website

If you have been offered the vaccine because you are in a priority group, the benefit of taking the vaccine will outweigh any perceived risk. No risks have been identified in pregnant women, nor in women and men planning pregnancy. The cautionary note in the advice is due to lack of systematic data in pregnancy.

Other helpful resources for information on COVID-19 are www.rcog.org, www.hfea.gov.uk and www.britishfertilitysociety.org.uk

If your question is about another concern, we will respond to you as soon as possible.
