Sterile services provides a complete decontamination service for medical devices in accordance with ISO13845:2016. This service is provided from a modern centralised facility in University College Hospital (UCH), equipped with both steam and gas plasma sterilisation equipment.
The directorate also provides a decontamination service for the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes from a compliant centralised facility based in UCH as well as a disinfection service for neonatal equipment from a modern unit in the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson (EGA) wing.
