Each unit has a visitor room. You can sit, rest, eat, or make calls there. You can also go for a short walk. There are many cafes and shops nearby. Ask the staff if you need directions. For facilities and opening times, please see the hospital website.
It’s completely normal to feel lots of emotions during this time. You might feel worried, sad, angry, or even guilty. You’re not alone. Our team is here to support and guide you throughout your time in Critical Care.
If you’d like extra help, we have a psychology service for patients, families, and friends. Our family support nurses can also help with practical, financial, and social concerns. If you’d like to speak with a psychologist or family support nurse, just let your doctor or nurse know.
Multi-faith prayer rooms are open 24 hours on the ground floor. Please share the visitor rooms with others. Use the prayer rooms for prayer. A chaplain can visit you on the unit. Ask a nurse to arrange a visit. Read more on our Chaplaincy page.
