Over the next few weeks UCLH will start opening up further X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound appointments to our patients. These scans were restricted while we prepared for the peak of patients with COVID-19 infection. As the number of new admissions for COVID-19 is reducing, we can start to offer appointments for X-rays and scans at our hospitals not treating infected patients.

If we ask you to come for an X-ray or scan, your referring team has judged that it is now more appropriate to have your test than to continue to delay this. We will help ensure your visit to us is as safe as possible by restricting the number of patients booked, having space in waiting rooms to enable social distancing , easy hand decontamination and short waits. A member of the clinical team will call to discuss the need for your scan and how we will support your visit to the hospital.

The Radiology Department at UCLH is equipped with a range of state-of-the-art equipment enabling provision of a high quality clinical service delivered by a specialised clinical team and dedicated support team. Radiology is at the forefront of medical research and academia with several radiology-led research projects being undertaken at any given time by UCLH consultants, professors and research radiographers.
